A Brief Cohn & Gregory HistoryHarry Cohn and Clyde Gregory became friends while working together in the pipe distribution industry. In 1977 they founded Cohn & Gregory, Inc. in a 500 square foot office and warehouse at 1017 North Henderson in Fort Worth. In two short years the business prospered enough to expand into a 10,000 square foot office and warehouse space. Cohn passed away in 1985 and Scott Mahaffey purchased Harry Cohn’s controlling interest in the firm in 1986.The current location at 5450 Midway Road was acquired in 1999 and encompasses seven acres and a new 30,000 square foot office and warehouse. Two buildings totaling 5,000 square foot were added to house the pipe fabrication shop, where we cut, thread and groove pipe to the customer’s specifications. Cohn & Gregory specializes in PVF for plants, contractors and OEMs. The company is still owned by Scott Mahaffey, President and CEO, and Clyde Gregory, Vice President and General Manager. They are joined by a staff whom they both credit for a great deal of their success. The Cohn & Gregory team is led by Cheryl Ballard as controller, Dusty Rhodes as outside sales manager, Martha Boyer in outside sales, and inside salesmen Burl Martin and Shawn Gregory. Joe Williams manages a crew of dedicated warehouse associates. |
